Stores providing alcohol are frequently targeted by Islamist gunmen. Dozens of Ezidis and Christians, both owner and employees of liquor stores, were murdered in the past two years in Baghdad and the vicinity where especially members of minorities are looking for work. Islamists consider the sale of alcohol as a sin.
