Fighters of Shingal´s Protection Force HPS reportedly clashed with ISIS elements near Mihrikhan, a small town in
the southeast of Shingal mountains, killing four terrorists and wounding six others. Four ISIS terrorists are said to have been arrested, the HPS announced in a written statement.
Meanwhile, a transitional council has been set up at the HPS headquarters to coordinate future military operations. The authority has been passed to three HPS commanders and will remain active as long as the HPS Supreme Commander Haydar Shesho is being held captive by Kurdish KDP authorities. The council called on its fighters to refrain from taking action in view of the recent arrest of its Supreme Commander Shesho.
