According to confirmed reports, forces of the Kurdish People´s Protection Units (YPG/YPJ) launched today an operation together with Ezidi YBS fighters to free hostages held by Islamic State terrorists in Syria. 31 women and children were rescued in the action, which is said to have taken place near the recently captured town of Shadadi where the terrorist militia had been holding hundreds of hostages captive, including the U.S. citizen Kayla Mueller.

The women and children who had to endure 597 days in IS hell were taken to Khanasor town in the north of Shingal in northern Iraq and then accompanied to Sharfadeen after the operation.
