The U.S. Department of Defense announced that the U.S. air force conducted two air strikes against ISIS positions on Monday and Sunday both near Sinjar and Baghdad. In total, six ISIS vehicles were destroyed in Sinjar together with a terrorist position southwest of Baghdad.

First attacks occured near Baghdad as the terrorists attacked Iraqi military personell south of the capital. One ISIS position was destroyed there. Meanwhile, a broad international coalition has been formed to fight ISIS.

Australia already approved the deployment of 600 soldiers in Iraq, France started with reconaissance flights. Reports on air strikes of the French air force had been published by the pro-Shiite TV station Al-Ghaader. A confirmation has not arrived yet.
