Shingal – In recent days, two Ezidi women and four children were freed from ISIS terrorists´ captivity. An Ezidi activist managed to free the women along with their children. Details of their release have been, however, kept secret for security reasons. Among those children is a boy who could be seen in ISIS propaganda pictures showing him with the terrorist militia´s black garb while posing with a gun.
Over 1,000 Ezidi children were kidnapped by ISIS from Shingal region in August last year. According to the UN, children of eight years and above are being trained militarily by ISIS in order to become future jihadists. Several Ezidi child soldiers were already deployed and killed in battle.
