As the international anti-ISIS coalition steps up its air strikes against the terrorist group ISIS both in Iraq and Syria, the terrorist group has begun to use kidnapped Ezidi women and girls from Sinjar as human shields in Raqqa, the terrorists´ self-proclaimed capital of their so called caliphate. This was reported by the British Telegraph under reference to local eyewitnesses.

While the terrorists send their families out of town to safeguard them from potential air strikes, other civilians, especially Ezidi women, are being used as human shields.

Thousands of Ezidi women and girls who have been kidnapped by ISIS in the region of Sinjar were subsequently deported to Sunni dominated areas of Iraq as well as Syria. According to Ezidi sources, the number of women who are still held captive by terrorists adds up to over 4000.

The women are either forced into marriage with ISIS terrorists, raped or sold to third parties on slave markets as “concubines”. Around 300 Ezidi women have been therefore deported to Syria so far.
